West Ham United have reportedly switched their attention to signing former Queens Park Rangers loanee Eduardo Vargas.

The Premier League outfit, who are on the lookout for a new forward with Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia currently in the treatment room, are considering a loan move for the out-of-favour Napoli ace.

The 25-year-old, who has 48 international caps for Chile, spent last season on loan at QPR, where he eventually scored three goals in 22 appearances as Chris Ramsey’s side suffered relegation from the Premier League.

However, it is understood that new Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is willing to offer the Chilean another stint in the English top-flight, with Vargas currently not training with the Serie A club.

Deemed surplus to requirements at Napoli, the forward would arrive at the Boleyn Ground for a cost of around €1.5m for a season-long loan.
