West Ham United have reportedly joined Tottenham in the hunt to sign Brazil international Alexandre Pato.

The Premier League rivals, who defeated defending league champions Chelsea 2-1 last weekend at Upton Park, have set their sights on signing the Corinthians striker ahead of the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old, who has ten goals in 27 international caps for his country, is reportedly looking to be offloaded by the Brazilian club’s president Roberto de Andrade during the New Year period.

Last season; Pato scored 14 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions whilst also on loan at Sao Paulo, where he has been plying his trade since February 2014 after falling out of favour at Corinthians.
