West Ham United begin talks over £25.7m deal for 20-goal AC Milan striker

West Ham United have reportedly launched a £25.7m bid for Colombia international striker Carlos Bacca, according to the Independent (via The Sun).

The Premier League side, who finished seventh in the English top-flight standings last term during boss Slaven Bilic’s first campaign in charge, have been linked with luring the AC Milan forward to their Olympic Stadium this summer.

The 29-year-old, who has 33 international caps for his country, scored 20 goals and provided four assists in 43 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit last season.

Bacca, who won back-to-back UEFA Europa League titles with former club Sevilla, is wanted by the Hammers to spearhead their attack during the forthcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The reports suggests that West Ham have triggered the striker’s release clause and talks will now begin over a Premier League switch for the Colombian star.

Bacca only arrived at San Siro last July following his €30m move from La Liga’s Sevilla.
