West Ham United are reportedly considering a £5m summer swoop for Premier League gem Jack Grealish, according to the Brentwood Gazette.

The English top-flight side, who climbed up to fifth in the standings after coming from two goals down to defeat Everton 3-2 on Saturday, are interested in snapping up Aston Villa’s highly-rated midfielder come the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 20-year-old, who decided to represent England at international level rather than the Republic of Ireland back in September, has scored just one goal and provided one assist in 17 appearances in all competitions for the Villans so far this season.

Grealish, who came through the Midlands club’s youth academy, has had his career hampered this term due to off-field incidents.

But it appears Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is confident enough Grealish has the pedigree and potential to become a Premier League star, with the report suggesting West Ham may look to recruit him this summer as Villa look destined to suffer relegation to the Championship come May.

I’d take £5M straightaway. Just think when he gets to London what social havoc he can cause. Hasn’t the requisite maturity and application to be a Prem player in my opinion. Needs very very strong management. Certainly doesn’t seem to be Remi’s forte.
