Name: Michail Antonio
Edging out midfield maestro Dimitri Payet to February’s honour is Michail Antonio, who is proving to be a very shrewd summer signing for West Ham United this term.
The 25-year-old; who arrived at Upton Park back in September 2015 from Championship outfit Nottingham Forest, well and truly displayed his Premier League pedigree last month by netting two league goals, plus inspiring the Hammers through to the fifth-round of the FA Cup with a strike against Liverpool.
Firstly Antonio; who began his career at non-league Tooting & Mitcham United, netted the opening goal of the game in West Ham’s comfortable 2-0 victory over rock-bottom Aston Villa in early-February, before scoring the only goal of the match against fellow relegation contenders Sunderland on Saturday to lift Slaven Bilic’s side up to sixth in the standings. It was simply a case of when Antonio scored, West Ham won last month.
