What’s Hot and What’s Not from an enthralling Premier League weekend

NOT – Sunderland

It was inevitable, but Saturday finally saw David Moyes’ Sunderland officially relegated from the Premier League after a decade-long spell in the top-flight.

The Black Cats meekly lost 1-0 at home to Bournemouth and, coupled with Hull’s draw at Southampton, means that they are 13 points adrift of safety with just four games of the season remaining.

The North East outfit have been clinging on for years and producing miraculous escapes for a while now, so relegation was always going to happen, it was just a matter of when.

And it has happened this season for the Stadium of Light faithful, who will have quite the battle on their hands to achieve an immediate return to the Premier League next season.
