What’s Hot and What’s Not from the Boxing Day action in the Premier League

NOT – Hull

Bottom of the table at Christmas invariably means just one thing, and that is something that Hull fans will be well aware of going into the second half of the season.

And they didn’t get any Boxing Day cheer either.

Mike Phelan’s side suffered their 12th defeat of the campaign by losing 3-0 at home to Manchester City yesterday and, although it was always going to be a tough ask against Pep Guardiola’s men, Hull need to start picking up points in every game, especially at home.

The Tigers have now won just one of their last 16 Premier League games and, given that they are already four points adrift of safety and with the worst goal difference in the league, it points to nothing more than a serious struggle between now and May.
