HOT – Sutton United

Sutton United made it two non-league teams in the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time ever by overcoming 1972 winners Leeds United 1-0 on Sunday.

Paul Doswell’s men were outstanding throughout and deservedly reached the last 16, with Jamie Collins’ penalty eight minutes into the second half enough to see off Garry Monk’s under-whelming side at Gander Green Lane.

Their only previous meeting came back in 1970, when Don Revie’s Leeds thumped Sutton 6-0 at the same stage of the competition – now it’s time for Sutton to celebrate a momentous win, and one that puts them just 180 minutes away from Wembley.
