What’s Hot and What’s Not from the FA Cup fourth round weekend

NOT – Liverpool

Liverpool saw their Premier League title chances take a hit by losing at home to Swansea last weekend, before being knocked out of the League Cup by Southampton in midweek.

So to lose 2-1 at home to Wolves on Saturday in the FA Cup may well have ended their chances of silverware this term.

First half goals from Richard Stearman and Andreas Weimann proved to be enough to get past Jurgen Klopp’s side and, although Divock Origi got a goal back late on, the Reds’ second string side were unable to force a replay.

It has been a disastrous week for Liverpool, who know that they quite simply have to beat Premier League leaders Chelsea on Tuesday night to keep their slim title chances alive.

However, with how well they’ve done in 2017 thus far, winning just one of seven games, it’s going to be a tough ask for Klopp’s men against the Blues.
