Defender Micah Richards played 245 times for Manchester City over a ten-year period, and was a regular in the England squad in 2007, playing ten times for his country.

The 28-year-old made 29 appearances to help the club win their first ever Premier League title in 2011/12, a year after scoring twice in five games en route to winning the club’s first FA Cup title in 52 years.

However, his playing chances became limited in the final years at the Etihad, and Richards left the club in the summer of 2015, having spent the season on loan at Fiorentina.

The right-back signed for Aston Villa in that summer, but was part of the team that were deservedly relegated from the top-flight earlier this year, and has only featured twice for them in the Championship this term.
