The build-up to the match in 2010 was based around whether or not former Blue Wayne Bridge and John Terry would shake hands after everything that had gone on before.

In the end, Bridge refused to do so, and City went on to win 4-2 and end Chelsea’s unbeaten home record.

The left-back spent six years Stamford Bridge after signing from Southampton in 2003, and joined City in 2009 for £10 million.

However, it was only in the 2009/10 season where Bridge nailed down a first team spot, and restricted appearances at the Etihad saw him go out on loan to West Ham, Sunderland, and Brighton, before signing a one-year deal with Reading.

Bridge retired from football in May 2014, and can currently be seen on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
