Watford haven’t tasted victory in the Premier League since their 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on February 13 – Photo: Paul Roberts/Offside.

Thank goodness the newly promoted outfit endured a fantastic opening half to the 2015-16 Premier League campaign, as the free-falling Hornets would be hovering just one point above the division’s bottom three if it were solely based on their form so far this year.

Watford; who currently sit 15th in the overall standings, 11 points above the drop zone with just six games remaining of the campaign, have plummeted since the turn of the New Year, despite an encouraging run in the FA Cup.

Quique Sanchez Flores’ men have managed to pick up just nine points from a possible 39 on offer throughout 2016, only defeating relegation candidates Newcastle United and Crystal Palace 2-1 respectively in January and February to marginally cushion their dire run of eight league defeats in their last 13 outings.

However the Hornets should be safe from relegation straight back down to the Championship come May given the bottom three’s recent form, with Watford helpfully still holding a game in hand over a selection of sides below them in the standings.

To be fair Watford are just four points off the first half season’s corresponding fixtures and after tomorrow’s nailed on bore draw they will have already have beaten every one of their remaining opponents.

    Make that two points 😀

    Wembley next Hurrah!
