19th January 2016 - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay - Aston Villa v Wycombe Wanderers - Sam Wood of Wycombe Wanderers strikes a volley past Jordan Lyden of Aston Villa - Photo: Paul Roberts / Offside.

Jordan Lyden could be a key player for Villa in the Championship next season, as they edge closer to the drop.

Aston Villa look to be heading to the Championship without much of a fight following Sunday’s 6-0 home defeat by Liverpool, so their key player over the final dozen games certainly isn’t one that has appeared on a regular basis in a dismal campaign to date.

Jordan Lyden came on to make his league debut for the club as a substitute in the heavy defeat to the Reds, and the Australian midfielder could get many minutes between now and the end of the season with Remi Garde likely to start preparing for next term in England’s second-tier.

The 20-year-old impressed on his full debut against Wycombe in the Villans’ FA Cup replay win last month, receiving praise from Garde, and the club couldn’t really do any worse than fielding some of their promising youngsters at the moment!

Sack every player who is not fit for Avfc, the start playing the youth players
All the senior players need culling now. There are no players who will save
Avfc from relegation. All the kids can do is bring back a pride in wearing the
Shirt of Avfc ,The first to go Gabby,Guzan Nzogbia Westwood Richardson
    Lescott HuttonBacuna

I would give them one more go to see if there is any reaction to the utter embarrassment of last week end, if not as I expect, then yes I totally agree drop most of them and play the kids.
Lescott needs to be dropped for his disgusting and insulting behaviour toward the fans who pay hard earned money to watch that garbage obviously doesn’t notice unmarked strikers while he’s just got new cars on his mind.
