Scotland international Steven Naismith joined Norwich City last month from Everton in a deal worth up to £8.5m.

With the Canaries flapping their wings upon the boundary of the dreaded dotted line at the bottom of the Premier League table; Norwich City will look towards their marquee January addition, Steven Naismith, as the man who can fire the club towards safety come May.

The 29-year-old, who has 41 international caps for Scotland, joined Alex Neil’s side for a reported £8.5m only last month after leaving fellow English top-flight outfit Everton.

Naismith; who started his career in his homeland with Kilmarnock, has scored one goal in four appearances for Norwich, finding the back of the net in the hosts’ 5-4 thrilling defeat to the hands of Liverpool back in late-January on his debut.

Manager Neil will have his fingers crossed that his big money signing can deliver the goods in the final dozen league games of the season, with Norwich just about keeping themselves out of the drop zone at the moment due to their better goal difference over 18th placed Newcastle United. But that is far too close for comfort!
