Centre-half Ashley Williams is Swansea City’s all-time most capped international player.

You can always rely upon ‘Mr. Reliable’ – In this case, Swansea City skipper Ashley Williams.

The captain’s influence in the club’s final 12 Premier League fixtures will play a pivotal role in whether the Welsh outfit retain their English top-flight status for a sixth successive season come May.

The 31-year-old; who has been at the Liberty Stadium since 2008, has been through thick and thin with the Swans throughout the past eight years, all the way from their League One title triumph to Premier League promotion.

Williams; who has 56 international caps for Wales, has scored one goal in all 26 league games for Francesco Guidolin’s men so far this season, netting the winner against Watford (1-0) only last month.

But with Swansea hovering just three points above the bottom three with a dozen league fixtures remaining; Williams’ resoluteness and leadership skills will be put to the ultimate test as bids to inspire his teammates to survival come May.
