Southampton have little left to play for in the Premier League this season after a mixed year under the tenure of French manager Claude Puel, who is seemingly under-fire after his side’s bore draw with Hull City on Saturday.

According to reports from the Daily Star, following rows with senior members of his squad the former Nice boss is now battling to save his job at St. Mary’s.

The Saints drew 0-0 with the Tigers at the weekend after Dusan Tadic, who had previously criticised his manager over first team chances, saw his last minute penalty saved by Eldin Jakupovic.

Nathan Redmond, who was returned to the side after being dropped at Chelsea, is one of the players who has supposedly had a run in with Puel, as well as key figures Ryan Bertrand and Virgil van Dijk.

As per the report, the two more senior defenders are considering leaving the club over the summer should Puel remain in charge.

There has been plenty of debate over the style of football at Southampton this season, with the side playing a more defensive style than under Mauricio Pochettino and Ronald Koeman. However, having reached the EFL Cup final Puel has arguably taken the side further than the now Tottenham and Everton managers.

With all that in mind, should the Frenchman leave the south coast this summer, the Saints will have to once again turn to their top notch recruitment staff again.

Here are THREE managers they could turn to as a replacement…
