3 huge EFL clashes to keep an eye on this evening

AFC Wimbledon v MK Dons

It was the clash AFC Wimbledon fans would have been looking forward to when the fixtures were released last June, and finally it is here.

Neal Ardley’s men host Robbie Nielson’s MK Dons for the first time this evening since Wimbledon FC were allowed to relocate to Milton Keynes in 2002, and AFC Wimbledon was formed by the many supporters who were disappointed and angry at the decision.

And tonight will be the first time MK Dons visit Kingsmeadow, and although neither side are playing for anything in particular this term, Ardley’s men currently hold a three-point lead over Nielson’s side, and would certainly love to finish above them in the division this season.

AFC Wimbledon have won two of their last four but lost at home to Northampton Town on Saturday, while MK Dons have won just one of their last seven, and could only muster a 2-2 draw against out-of-form Rochdale on Saturday.

Nonetheless, it should be quite the occasion at Kingsmeadow this evening.
