Reports in the Mirror claim that another goalkeeper Chelsea are keen on is Edouard Mendy. The 28-year-old has done well in his first season with Rennes after a switch from Stade de Reims last summer. It’s claimed that former stopper and now technical director, Petr Cech, is stepping up the pursuit of the Senegal international as they look to provide competition to Kepa Arrizabalaga. Mendy, who made 33 appearances last term, is expected to cost around £18million.
