Influential midfielder Christian Eriksen wasn’t hugely influential in the early parts of the season, but he appears to hitting best form ahead of Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford.

The Danish international netted twice and assisted one in an excellent performance against Swansea last week, just seven days after becoming the first man to score against Chelsea since they went to three at the back.

You have to go back to the middle of October for Eriksen’s last assist in the Premier League, and for a player of his quality, that’s a surprisingly long stretch of inactivity in the opposition’s final third.

He added another assist in an excellent display against CSKA Moscow in midweek, and it appears that the 24-year-old is peaking at the right time to trouble a makeshift United backline.
