Town midfielder Jack Payne’s brace summed up his glistening performance on Saturday afternoon.

Payne had only scored once all season prior to the 4-0 thrashing of Port Vale.

Both of his goals finished off well worked passing moves and Payne was involved in a lot of Town’s attacks for the duration of the match.

With a big Yorkshire derby at Hillsborough next Saturday, manager David Wagner will be hoping that he can produce another man of the match performance against Sheffield Wednesday.
