Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay, according to Bild.

The Gunners are seeking a low-cost replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who will leave on a free transfer to Juventus in the summer.

It is reported that the Germany international has a release clause of just £22million – a price that the North London side would be happy to pay in order to gain the midfielder.

Bild say Arsenal have already made contact with the German club regarding the availability of the player.

Demirbay has been an influential player for a Hoffenheim side chasing a Champions League spot.

The two-time Germany international has registered four goals and has six assists this season in the Bundesliga.

This good form has also seen the playmaker linked with a number of teams in his birth country, Turkey.

However, Arsenal will hope that they are able to secure the number 10 for next season.
