EFL: Championship, League One, League Two Players and Managers of Midweek – Big wins for Norwich, Burton and Exeter

Championship

Player: Ben Brereton (Blackburn Rovers)

Blackburn Rovers registered an emphatic 3-0 win at Preston North End, extending their unbeaten run to four matches. Their star man – and our Championship star man – was Ben Brereton. The 21-year-old striker kept the Preston defenders busy throughout the night with his movement. On 53 minutes he slotted home his third goal of the season before, 23 minutes later, superbly setting up substitute Tyrhys Dolan for his third assist of the campaign.

Player: Daniel Farke (Norwich City)

It’s not always easy for teams relegated from the Premier League to pick themsleves back up and go again but Daniel Farke has got Norwich City flying in the Championship. The German guided his side to a third win in a row which stretched their unbeaten run to nine matches with a 3-2 win at Stoke City. The Canaries were 3-0 up and survived a late charge from the hosts to stay a point clear at the top of the table.
