Everton are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, according to the Le10 Sport.

It’s claimed the Toffees are wary that they may need to replace Idrissa Gueye, who has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Senegal international is a key player for boss Marco Silva and would be sorely missed if he was to leave for the French champions.

With that a possibility the Merseyside club have turn their attentions toward the 29-year-old, whose current contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season.

Everton boss Marco SIlva could soon be working with Ander Herrera.

The Spaniard has been a key player for the Red Devils since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho in December so he could yet still extend his stay at his current club.

But, if this is to be his last season with United, it looks as if Everton are keen to offer him more Premier League football.

Herrera joined Manchester United from Athletic Bilbao in 2014 for around £29million and has since played over 175 matches for the club.
