Liverpool are interested in signing 18-year-old Jack Clarke from Leeds United, according to the Express.

It is understood that even if the Yorkshire side are promoted to the Premier League, the Reds will continue to try to sign Clarke.

Despite a poor run of form, Leeds are still in an automatic promotion place and are just two points behind table toppers Norwich City.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have reportedly been keeping an eye on the young winger and, like many spectators this term, have been very impressed with what they’ve seen.

Clarke has shone dueing his breakthrough season at Elland Road.

The York-born ace, who is recovering well after being taken ill in the Championship match at Middlesbrough on Saturday, has registered two goals and two assists in the 16 games that he has played in.

This could see the Anfield outfit make a move for Clarke in the summer, especially given the fact that the Merseyside giants did not sign anyone in the January transfer market.

However with Liverpool already having many experienced attacking players like: Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Xherdan Shaqiri it could prove difficult for the starlet to immediately get first-team football.
