Liverpool are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach star Thorgan Hazard, according to Nieuwsblad.

The German based newspaper reports that the Reds have made an offer to sign the brother of Chelsea star, Eden Hazard.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has strong relations in the Bundesliga, having previously managed Borussia Dortmund and could look to strengthen his title challenging side.

Gladbach are reportedly looking for around £36million however it’s claimed that the Merseyside club have already bid more than the wanted amount.

Whilst Hazard apparently favours a move to Borussia Dortmund, Gladbach don’t want to reject a high bid from an English team.

The Belgian has been fantastic for Monchengladbach over the last couple of seasons and has made himself one of their most important players.

The 26-year-old currently has nine goals and nine assists in the Bundesliga this term.

Liverpool currently sit top of the Premier League, however they are being pushed all the way by Manchester City as they look to win their first top-flight crown since 1990.
