Manchester United have been linked with a move for Saint-Etienne centre-back William Saliba, according to French football magazine Le 10 Sport.

The 18-year-old has impressed in the 13 appearances he’s made this term in a breakthrough season.

Ten of those matches have come in Ligue 1 with seven in the starting XI and the other three as a substitute.

Valued at around £25million by the European chasers, it’s reported that the Red Devils have been tracking the highly-rated teenager and are in pole position to open talks.

United have been linked with an array of centre-backs in recent weeks as they aim to strengthen their backline in the summer.

Also capable of playing at right-back, Saliba has represented France from the Under-16s to Under-19s.
