Premier League Team of the Week: Matchweek 6

FW: Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur)

After throwing away a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with West Ham last time out in the Premier League, it was vital for Jose Mourinho’s side to show a better defensive display at Burnley. And the Spurs boss will have been delighted to see his side come away with a plucky 1-0 victory. Once again, Son Heung-min was the match winner as he netted his eighth of the season. The forward wasn’t at his thrilling best but popped up with the vital moment as he headed home Harry Kane’s flick-on – the 29th time Tottenham’s brilliant pair have combined for a top-flight goal.

FW: Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)

You have to wonder where Crystal Palace would be without their talismanic captain. The Ivory Coast forward was the Eagles’ match winner yet again on Saturday as he scored a goal and assisted another in the 2-1 win at Fulham. Zaha’s fifth Premier League strike of the season matches the amount he scored in his previous 41.

FW: Patrick Bamford (Leeds United)

Many predicted Leeds to go out and buy a centre-forward to replace Patrick Bamford this season. However, Marcelo Bielsa has kept faith in the Englishman and he continued to repay that faith with a hat-trick in the 3-0 win at Aston Villa. The three of his strikes – which all came in the second half – takes his tally to six in the Premier League this term.
