Real Madrid could be set to make a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to the TEAMtalk.

The 24-year-old has had a steady first season in the Blues goal since becoming the world’s most expensive stopper last summer following his £72million switch from Athletic Bilbao.

However, the Spaniard’s future at Stamford Bridge has become uncertain after he infamously refused to be substituted in the League Cup final defeat to Manchester City in February – a move which publicly humiliated boss Maurizio Sarri.

Now it’s reported that Los Blancos could offer the player a fresh start back in his homeland by launching a £50million bid.

Kepa refuses to come off in the League Cup final.

And with Stoke City’s Jack Butland and Burnley’s Nick Pope available in the summer, the London club, who will firstly have to fight off a transfer ban, are considering selling Kepa.

Real signed Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea last summer but it’s thought that Zinedine Zidane, who was reappointed manager in March, wants to bring in a new number 1.

Courtois played 154 times for Chelsea but his performances have come in for criticism since penning a six-year deal at the Bernabeu in August 2018.
