The Chelsea front four that could have been if they landed this key deal

Diego Costa

There were huge question marks about Diego Costa’s future at Chelsea after he was left out of their squad to face Leicester last month amidst reports of a bust-up with manager Conte, and indeed a big money bid from China for the striker.

However, the Spanish international appears to have put that behind him and continue doing what he does best, scoring goals.

In his first game back in the side, Costa netted the opener in a 2-0 win over Hull, in which he put in a committed display to the delight of the Stamford Bridge faithful, who sang his name throughout the contest.

That took his tally to 15 league goals for the season, the joint most in the Premier League alongside Alexis Sanchez, and although he missed a penalty against Liverpool on Tuesday night, he’ll be integral if Chelsea are to maintain their position at the top.
