These 2 Arsenal stars must leave in January for their own good

Despite having his best goal-scoring season to date at Arsenal this time around, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is still struggling to nail down a first team spot at the Emirates.

The England winger has scored six goals in 27 appearances for the Gunners this season, beating his previous best tally of four from the 2011/12 campaign, but over half of his appearances thus far have been from the bench, and he has completed 90 minutes just three times this season.

With six goals and five assists this term, Oxlade-Chamberlain is clearly an important member of the squad at the Emirates, but he needs to be playing first team football regularly to reach the potential he showed for club and country a few years ago.

He spoke earlier in the season about potentially having to consider his future at Arsenal, and you sense that, although he is always around the first team, he doesn’t look like nailing down a starting berth ahead of Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi, Alexis Sanchez, and Mesut Ozil.

Thus, the 23-year-old should move on this month. He has already been linked with a move to Liverpool, and there’s no doubt that he could do a job for many Premier League teams.

Oxlade-Chamberlain would offer any side pace and directness in the final third, and would inject some creativity into many a front line.
