Out of favour at Real Madrid, and likely to want a move away soon, Chelsea should seriously consider a bid for James Rodriguez.

The Colombian captain shot to prominence at the 2014 World Cup by playing a starring role in his country’s progress to the last eight, a tournament in which he won the Golden Boot and earned himself a move to the Bernabeu.

But, despite a decent first couple of seasons in the Spanish capital, Rodriguez managed just eight goals last time around, and has thus far netted just once in ten appearances for the club this season.

His lack of game time could attract interest from many across Europe and, with Chelsea reportedly close to a deal in the summer, they could, and perhaps should, go in for him again in January.
