Memphis Depay’s move to Manchester United in 2015 was met with huge swathes of optimism after his impressive displays for both PSV Eindhoven and the Dutch national team.

However, the 22-year-old just hasn’t found his feet at Old Trafford.

The midfielder has yet to make a Premier League start under Mourinho this season, with just two other substitute cameos indicative of his lowly position in the United pecking order.

With just seven goals in his debut campaign last time out, five of which were in European competition, he needs to get out of United quickly to get his career going again.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has been linked with a move for his compatriot this month, and it’s clear that Depay needs a fresh start somewhere to revive his flailing Premier League career.

Everton could be that club.
