These 2 Man United stars must leave in January for their own good

It has become clear since Mourinho took over at Man United that he isn’t Luke Shaw’s biggest fan.

The Portuguese boss gave him a few starts at the beginning of the campaign, but criticised him publicly for his part in the Red Devils’ 3-1 defeat at Watford back in September, before questioning his commitment after their 3-1 win over Swansea in November.

And, although the 21-year-old has had injury problems in recent weeks, Shaw doesn’t look like he’ll regain the left-back spot from Matteo Darmian anytime soon, especially with Daley Blind also available as cover.

Thus, the England international should seriously consider his future at Old Trafford.

He is a quality full-back, as he has proven in the past at both Southampton and indeed United when fit, but he’s not going to develop and reach his full potential set on the sidelines at Old Trafford.

Shaw was tipped to be England’s next long-term left-back in 2014, but he’s now behind the likes of Danny Rose, Ryan Bertrand, and arguably Aaron Cresswell in the pecking order, and he may need to move away from United to play the first team football required to get to the top of that list.
