England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain said back in October that he may have to consider his future at Arsenal if he isn’t given regular playing time by Wenger.

And, almost six months on, he is still struggling to get a regular spot in the starting eleven.

The 23-year-old has made more substitute appearances than starts in the Premier League this season, although he has started their last three matches due to the depleted midfield options at Wenger’s disposal.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is embarking on his best goal-scoring season since moving to the Emirates back in 2011, with his tally of six goals two better than the four he got in 2011/12, yet his chances of regular football in the future still remains unclear.

Only starts and impressive performances between now and May will be enough to secure his long-term future at the club.
