He may not have made the greatest start to his Manchester United career, but there’s no doubting how good a left-back Patrice Evra became in his time at Old Trafford.

The Frenchman moved to Manchester from Monaco in January 2006, and went on to become Sir Alex Ferguson’s first choice left-back for the next seven years, making 334 appearances under the Scotsman.

Evra remained part of the United squad when David Moyes took over in a bid to add to his five Premier League titles, three League Cups, and one Champions League crown, but he left Old Trafford in the summer of 2014 after a disappointing campaign, but still totalled 379 games for the club, netting ten times.

The 35-year-old moved to Juventus after leaving United, and remains on the books in Turin having renewed his contract last summer.
