Now this is one that is so unlikely to happen it’s almost laughable.

The Sunday Mirror have reported that Klopp could be lined up by Bayern Munich as a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti – this all came after the German champions lost to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga and then little-known Rostov in the Champions League at the end of November.

Not only are Bayern unlikely to sack Ancelotti given his track-record elsewhere, and the fact that they are only three points adrift in the Bundesliga, but it’s difficult to see Klopp leaving Anfield anytime soon.

The Liverpool boss is embarking on his first full season on Merseyside and, given that he led the club to two Cup finals last season and that fact that they are third in the table this time around, he clearly feels that he can build something at Anfield, and perhaps be the man to end their 26-year wait for the Premier League title.

Moving to Bayern is probably not high up on his to-do list at the moment.
