These are the 3 worst January signings Tottenham ever made

Hossam Ghaly’s ill-fated three year spell at Tottenham was summed up by his moment of madness against Blackburn Rovers in 2007.

The former Egyptian international, who joined the club in January 2006, was brought off by manager Martin Jol despite only coming on at half time and, as a result, Ghaly didn’t take the news too well, as he took his shirt off and threw it down to the ground.

Unsurprisingly, this didn’t endear himself to the Tottenham supporters and, despite apologising for his actions, the midfielder didn’t feature again for the North London side, and was eventually sold to Al-Nassr in January 2009.
