Arsenal have reportedly had a £56 million bid for Torino’s Andrea Belotti rejected by the Serie A club, but that shouldn’t stop them trying to sign one of the most in-form forwards in Europe.

23-year-old Belotti has scored a staggering 16 goals in just 21 matches for the Italian outfit this season, the latest of which the opener in their 2-2 draw with AC Milan on Monday.

It means that he is second in the Serie A goal-scoring charts behind Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi, and his excellent form this season has seen him recognised by the Italian national team, with whom he made his debut in their 3-1 defeat to France in September 2016.

Unsurprisingly, his incredible season has attracted the interest of many top European clubs, with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United keeping tabs, and he’s the sort of top-quality forward that Arsenal have arguably been lacking in recent years.

Bringing him in, alongside keeping both Ozil and Sanchez, would make Arsenal a force to be reckoned with in the second half of the season.
