Espanyol left-back Ruben Duarte has a mere 11 La Liga appearances to his name and has impressed fans with his crunching tackles and defensive stability. Although the modern game tends to favour more attacking-minded full-backs Duarte prefers to stay back and remain impassable.

The 19-year-old broke into the first-team on the after a series of strong performances in the Copa del Rey and he has stayed there ever since. The Spaniard is physical and thrives when taking wingers on one-on-one. Espanyol have kept five clean sheets in Duarte’s 11 league games and his positive defensive impact is undeniable.
