Top 5: Leicester City’s Most Expensive Player Sales

2 – Jeffrey Schlupp to Crystal Palace (£12.5m)

The inspiration for this article, the 24-year-old made a big-money move to Crystal Palace on Friday evening and became Leicester City’s second-most expensive player sale.

Having been at the club since he was 11-years-old, the Ghanaian winger was a permanent feature in the Foxes’ side, since scoring a hat-trick on his debut in the League Cup against Rotherham United back in 2011.

The pacey winger’s time in the East Midlands has been peppered with success. Lifting the Championship and Premier League titles in only three seasons, he will hope to replicate that success at Selhurst Park.

Upon departing the King Power Stadium, the utility man made 149 appearances and scored 15 goals, being named Leicester City’s Young Player of the Season in 2015 and 2016.

However, having only made nine appearances in the current campaign, he hunted for a fresh start away from his boyhood club, earning the Foxes a cool £12.5m.
