Top 5: Premier League deals to be done before Deadline Day

Leonardo Ulloa

Leicester City forward Leonardo Ulloa handed in a transfer request last week in an attempt to force a move away from the King Power Stadium.

The former Brighton forward made 29 appearances in the Premier League Champions’ title-winning campaign, but both he and fellow teammate Shinji Okazaki have failed to dislodge Ahmed Musa, Islam Slimani or Jamie Vardy from the starting squad.

The 30-year-old has struggled for game time this season and despite only making one appearance in the Premier League during this campaign, Claudio Ranieri is hopeful that the Argentinian will stay.

Reportedly, The Foxes have already rejected two bids for the striker during this January, but after turning down a bid of £9m from Swansea over the summer, the East Midlands club will be holding out for a bigger offer if they cannot persuade the forward to stay with the club.

Mid-table La Liga outfit Alaves are said to be one of the clubs leading the way for his signature, but as the end of the window draws nearer, more clubs will become interested in bringing a player with Ulloa’s experience to their club.
