Top 5: The Premier League’s most sought after relegation threatened stars

Jordan Pickford

Although Sunderland currently find themselves rock-bottom of the Premier League, one of the standout players of their campaign so far has been young goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The English shot-stopper is in fine form and has performed outstandingly so far this season, despite the rut that The Black Cats currently find themselves in.

Following Vito Mannone’s injury at the start of the season, Pickford has now established himself as number one at the Stadium of Light and is now one of the first names on the teamsheet for David Moyes.

The 23-year-old has received two call-ups for the senior England squad, but is yet to make his debut for the national side.

He should be in line for a big money move come the end of the season and is currently valued at around the £5m mark.

But the goalkeeper could fetch almost double that, even if his side fails to survive in the Premier League come the end of the current season.
