Top 5: Young Premier League stars impressing on loan

Josh Cullen

League One side Bradford City have extended West Ham United midfielder Josh Cullen’s loan spell at Valley Parade for the remainder of the season.

The young Hammers star first joined up with The Bantams for the second-half of last season and made quite the impression at the club.

He featured 17 times during 2015/16 and has gone on to make 23 appearances during this campaign, scoring his first professional league goal for the club in a game against Milton Keynes Dons.

Both former Bradford boss Phil Parkinson and current manager Stuart McCall have described the midfielder as an old head on young shoulders and have commented on his ability to find time on the ball, even when there is none.

The 20-year-old has a bright future ahead of him and has quickly become a fans favourite, with them even drawing comparisons between him and French legend Zinedine Zidane.

His popularity and all-round positive style of play bodes well for his chances of one day becoming a success under Slaven Bilic at the London Stadium.
