Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign James Maddison from Leicester City, according to reports.

The 22-year-old impressed in his first season in the Premier League following a £20million switch from Norwich City last summer.

Now The Mirror report that his performances have resulted in Spurs attempting to lure him to North London.

Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add some new faces to his squad after failing to sign a player in the last two windows.

Pochettino wants summer reinforcements after his Champions League heroics.

Having guided Tottenham to the Champions League final the Argentine boss is expected to receive a large proportion of the £72million the club get for reaching that stage.

And Poch is thought to be keen on splashing out on Maddison who registered seven goals and assists throughout the 2018/19 campaign.

The playmaker was called up to the England senior squad in October 2018 and will spend this summer playing at the European Under-21 Championship.
