Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to signing Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon, according to the Daily Mail.

Spurs have been interested in signing the 18-year-old for a couple of seasons now and will look to finally purchase him.

It is reported that Fulham, who have been relegated to the Championship, want £40million for the exciting wide man.

However, Tottenham value him at £25million, with the London clubs holding talks to meet in the middle for the fee.

Mauricio Pochettino has already said that he wants to make a couple of signings this summer to help build on their success this season.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has not been able to sign one player in the last two transfer windows.

He has led the club to their first ever Champions League final and seen them move into their new stadium.

All the signs are there that the North London side are ready to challenge for major trophies but the Argentine boss will look to improve their squad to do so on a consistent basis.

Although they are expected to finalise a deal for Sessegnon in the next few days, it’s claimed they also face competition from Paris Saint-Germain.

The England Under-21 international impressed in Fulham’s promotion winning campaign last year but has struggled for the Cottagers in the top-flight, scoring twice in 30 matches.
