Tottenham Hotspur have agreed personal terms with FC Barcelona midfielder Mario Gomes, according to reports.

The 25-year-old is currently nearing the end of his season-long loan spell at Everton, where he has impressed in his 26 Premier League appearances.

However, according to Spanish outlet SPORT, the Portugal international will not be staying at Goodison Park next term with Spurs close to snapping up the player.

Having agreed terms with Gomes’ agent, it’s believed that Tottenham will offer £26million to Barcelona to seal the deal.

Everton boss Marco Silva wants to keep Gomes at Everton.
