It was a meeting between the top two in the Premier League back in October when Spurs met Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, who up until that point had a 100% record in the league.

However, City were completely outplayed by Pochettino’s men, who secured a deserved 2-0 win to go within a point of Guardiola’s table-toppers.

Danny Rose’s cross after nine minutes was turned home by City defender Aleksandar Kolarov to give the hosts the lead, and they doubled their advantage when Dele Alli finished well eight minutes before the break.

It meant that Spurs remained the only unbeaten side in the league, which was a run that lasted 12 games and was ended by Chelsea on November 26.
