What’s Hot and What’s Not from Leicester’s remarkable Champions League run

HOT – Reached the last eight

Not many people gave Leicester much of a chance when they entered the Champions League back in September, yet they got further than any other English side.

The Foxes breezed through their group with four wins and a draw from their six matches, and although they were struggling in the Premier League when they visited Sevilla in their last 16 clash, they came away from there with an away goal, and were only 2-1 down.

And they then produced a wonderful performance at the King Power Stadium to overturn that deficit, and thus set up a mouth-watering quarter-final clash with Atletico Madrid.

Again, the Foxes did admirably well to only lose 1-0 in the Spanish capital, and had Diego Simeone’s men on the back foot for much of the return leg, although couldn’t get the two goals needed to progress.

All in all though, it has been a stunning run from the Premier League champions, and one the Foxes supporters aren’t going to forget in a hurry.
