NOT – Everton

Ronald Koeman named a strong side for Everton’s FA Cup clash against Premier League champions Leicester on Saturday, yet the Toffees were knocked out by Claudio Ranieri’s men after losing 2-1 at Goodison Park.

Romelu Lukaku, Seamus Coleman, Ross Barkley, and Ashley Williams all started for Everton as the hosts looked to begin their quest for a first major trophy since 1995, but Lukaku’s strike was cancelled out by two Ahmed Musa goals in the second half.

With the Toffees unlikely to break into a European spot in the Premier League, they are currently nine points behind sixth place Manchester United, this represented a real chance for Koeman’s side to go deep into the competition, especially having reached the semi-finals last season.

However, it wasn’t to be, and they’ll be hugely disappointed to exit the FA Cup so early.
