What’s Hot and What’s Not from the midweek action in the Premier League

HOT – Leicester City

Claudio Ranieri’s sacking at champions Leicester back in February was met with disbelief and anger all over the footballing world.

Yet there’s little doubt now that it was the right decision from the Foxes hierarchy, as new boss Craig Shakespeare has led the side to five straight Premier League victories since taking charge.

The Foxes comfortably saw off bottom of the table Sunderland 2-0 on Tuesday night to move up to 11th in the table, and eight points clear of danger.

Given that they looked a shoe-in for relegation six weeks ago, Shakespeare has done a remarkable job in turning things around at the King Power Stadium, and with a Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid to come, things are certainly a lot brighter at the Midlands club.
